Qatar Airways boosts Doha-London routes
In a dynamic of continuous development, Qatar Airways is set to significantly strengthen its presence at London Heathrow from 27 October 2024. This expansion comes just after the announcement of the withdrawal of the Romanian airline Tarom from one of the busiest airports in the world.
Tarom, facing major financial challenges, has decided to withdraw from London Heathrow airport as part of a major restructuring plan supported by Romanian state aid. This decision frees up valuable slots, which Qatar Airways has quickly seized to expand its operations.
Increased flight frequencies to London
The Qatari airline plans to increase its flight frequencies between Doha and London Heathrow, operating up to 9 daily flights. The new flights will be operated by Boeing 777-300ERs.
