Travel between Doha-Hamad airport and the city center by bus: Several shuttles provide the connection

Buses and taxis are available for those arriving at Hamad Airport. You can also book a limousine transfer or rent a car directly at the airport.

The bus is the most economical option for getting to and from Doha Hamad Airport. And which also has the big advantage of operating day and night, 7 days a week.

The airport bus terminal is located to the right of the exit from the arrivals hall

The airport and the city are connected by two bus lines. The 747 continues to the last stop at Al Ghanim Bus Station, making 9 stops along the route, including the Oasis Hotel, the National Library and the Ring Road. Route 109 is longer, covering almost all of Doha’s main streets and ending at the Mesayed Industrial Zone.

The trip is paid for with a Karwa contact card, which must be purchased from the driver when boarding. The cost: 10 QAR for 2 trips within 24 hours of first use or 20 QAR for unlimited shuttles throughout Qatar also within 24 hours.

Bus number 109 goes to Mesaieed industrial zone, number 747 goes to Al Ghanim bus station. The roads are operated by the state corporation Mowasalat. Prices and timetables are available on its official website.

Payment is by Karwa smart card (can be purchased from the driver). There are two options:

– Karwa Smartcard 24 Limited costs 10 Saudi reais (SAR, approximately $ 2.6) and is valid for two journeys within 24 hours of first use;

When you arrive at the airport of the Qatari capital, after having overcome the kilometers which separate you from the exit, you can take the bus to reach the main places of the capital.

The national company Mowasalat provides a bus service. Very little used by expatriates who prefer to take their own vehicles, the network is nevertheless very extensive.

To benefit from preferential rates, you can purchase the Karwa smartcard for 30 QR available in the automatic machines of Oreddo or at Al Ghanim bus station. Without the card, you will need at most 4 QR for a trip in the capital and 9 QR outside of Doha. Without a card, you can still get a ticket for 10QR for the entire trip.

The Mowasalat Company has just put into service two new bus lines in the West Bay district, while offering regular shuttles to the airport from various places in the city of Doha.

Fourteen buses are in service, 7 days a week. They run from 6 am to midnight and the waiting time between each vehicle is 15 minutes. To get around within Doha Airport, you can also opt for the service provided by Mowasalat.
