Doha Hamad International: To stay legally in Qatar, several types of visas can be issued on arrival at the airport
Nationals of 33 countries can obtain a one-month tourist visa upon arrival in Doha, when passing through immigration.
Germany, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, South Korea, Denmark, Spain, United States, France, Great Britain, Finland, Greece, Holland, Hong-Kong, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein , Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and the Vatican.
If you are not a national of one of these countries, you will need to obtain a visa prior to your arrival. It will be issued to you by the Embassy of Qatar at your place of residence or when you book a hotel in Qatar or on the government website for carrying out administrative formalities online: Hukoomi.

You will need to pay 100 QR ($ 27.5) per passport and 20 QR for each person on the passport. This amount will be paid by credit card at the airport if you are a national of one of the countries listed above. If you want to travel freely between Qatar and Oman, you will need to apply for a Joint tourist visa.
The visa can be renewed once for a period of one month. It will cost you 200 QR. Be careful, avoid exceeding the expiration date, as your forgetting will amount to 200 QR per expired day.
Citizens of Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Saudi Arabia and residents of countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council of Arab States, working in an occupation that is on the list of approved jobs , will be able to renew for two months, the one-month visa received on their arrival. Visa holders are not allowed to work in the country.
Visa for business travel
This visa allows foreigners to come for business or to work temporarily in the country.
If your trip is very short, you can apply for a 72-hour visa upon arrival, when you pass through the immigration counter, which can be extended once for the same duration. However, you will need to present a document proving that you are coming on business.
A three-month visa can also be issued. In this case, the company welcoming you will have to take care of the formalities before your arrival.
Remember, when you arrive at the airport to bring a letter from your employer that will prove the purpose of your stay.
The visa costs 200 QR and 50 QR for each person listed in the passport. It is valid for one month and is renewable for 2 months for an additional 200 QR. A penalty of 200 QR per day of delay will be applied if you do not renew your visa on time.

Family visit visa
The family of a sponsored resident may enter Qatar for a short-term family visit. The visa is valid for one month. If you want an extension, you will have to undergo a medical examination within 72 hours of your arrival.
The total duration cannot exceed six months. Otherwise, it will be necessary to apply for a visa for the permanent residence of the family.
Many documents are required:
– The visa application form
– Copy of the resident’s ID (local identity card) or passport
– A letter from the employer specifying the job held by the resident and his salary
– Provide proof of family ties: marriage certificate, birth certificate, …
– Copy of the resident’s lease. His name must clearly appear on the rental deed

Student visa
To obtain a student visa, you must first obtain confirmation of admission to an institution. Your visa will then be valid for one month from your entry into the country.
You will therefore have one month to complete all the necessary formalities: medical examination, blood group, fingerprinting, a letter from the establishment in lieu of sponsor, the letter of admission, three photos, a copy of your passport, proof that you can support yourself, in particular. It should be noted that to study at Qatar University, the institution requires a security deposit of 20,000 QR ($ 5470) placed in escrow in a bank in Qatar for 2 years.
