A 100% plant-based menu on Qatar Airways planes

Qatar Airways has unveiled a fully vegan menu for Business Class passengers to meet the growing demand for plant-based foods from travelers.

The national airline offers a range of fully vegan dishes on the à la carte menu for Business Class passengers. “Designed to meet the growing demand for plant-based foods from travelers, these dishes are also an added advantage to the culinary offerings on board the airline’s aircraft,” Qatar Airways said in a statement.

Among the new vegan dishes, passengers will be able to taste “tofu and spinach pasta, a smoked Moutabal, spiral zucchini and arrabbiata sauce, tofu and spinach tortellini, barbecued Asian tofu, onion noodles and shiitakes, fried tofu and its vegetable tagine, cauliflower couscous and kalamata bruschetta, or an omelet with chickpea flour.

These vegan dishes are offered by the Oneworld alliance company to all Business Class passengers departing from Doha, and on return flights “for which catering is provided by Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC)”. In addition, vegetarian meals will continue to be offered on board flights operated by other catering services.

On Qatar Airways flights, Business Class passengers are offered an à la carte menu, which offers a wide variety of dishes. The company also offers a wide selection of special meals to meet different dietary requirements. Passengers can request a special meal up to 24 hours before their flight and can, among other things, select meals for children, vegetarian or vegan meals or meals adapted to various religions and health concerns.
