Privilege Club: Qatar Airways makes it easier to regain lost tier

A lifelong aviation enthusiast, I closely follow the news of international airlines. On air-qataria.com, I focus particularly on Qatar Airways and all the airlines serving Qatar, covering new routes, fleet developments, partnerships, and news related to the Hamad International Airport hub.
Curious and meticulous, I enjoy analyzing developments in the aviation sector and sharing the latest and most reliable information on air travel to and from Qatar with you.
Has your Privilege Club membership tier been downgraded in recent months, or is it about to be? Until December 18, Qatar Airways is offering a status restoration promotion. Here is how it works:
The Qatari airline’s loyalty program attributes this initiative to the exceptional circumstances the region has experienced over the past few months. These events have made travel difficult for many members, preventing them from earning enough Qpoints to maintain their current tier. The airline is now offering them a second chance.
Booking period: October 11 to December 18, 2026.
Travel period: October 11, to April 1, 2027.
Departure point: Must be from Doha.
Who is eligible?
This offer applies to members whose status has been downgraded since March 1 of this year, as well as those whose current status tier is set to expire before December 18. According to Qatar Airways, the travel must also take place after the date the status downgrade went into effect.
Important terms and conditions:
– The flight must be marketed and operated by Qatar Airways.
– Your membership number must be included in the booking at the time of reservation. It can also be added at any point before check-in closes.
– Tickets issued before the start of the booking period are not eligible.
– When contacting member services or the contact center, please reference the code 2610PC080.
A single flight departing from Doha is sufficient to trigger the status restoration. An added benefit: maintain or upgrade your status with fewer Qpoints
The offer goes beyond dining. Qatar Airways notes that members can also maintain or upgrade their membership tier by earning fewer Qpoints when traveling between now and December 18 of this year. This is particularly useful if your current status is still valid but nearing its expiration date.
Why is it worth securing or upgrading your status?
Higher tiers provide access to tangible benefits, such as lounge access, extra baggage allowance, priority check-in and more flexible terms for flight changes and cancellations (with certain fees waived for Gold and Platinum members on select fare types). The airline also highlights complimentary on-board Starlink Wi-Fi for program members.
