RwandAir flies to Doha from Kigali

A lifelong aviation enthusiast, I closely follow the news of international airlines. On air-qataria.com, I focus particularly on Qatar Airways and all the airlines serving Qatar, covering new routes, fleet developments, partnerships, and news related to the Hamad International Airport hub.
Curious and meticulous, I enjoy analyzing developments in the aviation sector and sharing the latest and most reliable information on air travel to and from Qatar with you.
The RwandAir airline has inaugurated its new route between Kigali and Doha, replacing Qatar Airways with which it has signed a codeshare agreement and in loyalty.
The Rwandan national company now offers three flights per week between its base in Kigali and Doha-Hamad international airport, operated by Boeing 737-800 that can accommodate 16 passengers in Business class and 138 in economy. Departures are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11:25 p.m. to arrive the next day at 6:20 a.m., return flights from Qatar on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1:15 a.m. to land at 6:25 a.m. (average flight time 6:00 a.m.).
RwandAir is without direct competition on this route, its shareholder since last year Qatar Airways having closed its own after nine years of operations; the two carriers have implemented codeshare agreements and loyalty programs since the fall.
