Qatar Airways and British Airways expand codeshare agreement
Qatar Airways has expanded its codeshare agreement with British Airways, the Qatari airline announced in a statement.
According to the statement, the new agreement will allow British Airways to operate flights to five new airports in Europe under the QR code: Berlin Brandenburg (BER); Milan Malpensa (MXP); Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG); Rome Fiumicino (FCO); and Munich Airport (MUC).
For its part, Qatar Airways will begin flights to the five European airports in April, scheduling up to 102 weekly flights from Doha.
This strengthened codeshare agreement between the two airlines will also provide their customers with better connectivity options and play an important role in enhancing trade relations between Qatar and the United Kingdom. In addition, passengers will benefit from additional benefits, such as mileage accrual, as both Qatar Airways and British Airways are members of the Oneworld alliance.
