Qatar Airways launches new route to Saudi Arabia

Seeking to strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia, Qatar Airways has announced the launch of a new route to a major Middle Eastern destination.

The Qatari airline will inaugurate a flight to Hail, a city in northwestern Saudi Arabia, on January 5, 2026.

Three flights will operate weekly from Doha-Hamad. They will depart every Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 2:20 p.m., arriving at Hail Airport at 4:30 p.m. Return flights will depart Saudi Arabia at 5:30 p.m., landing in Doha at 7:25 p.m.

Hail becomes the thirteenth Saudi destination to join the Qatar Airways network, which already flies to Abha, AlUla, Dammam, Jeddah, Medina, Neom, Qassim, Riyadh, Red Sea, Tabuk, Taif, and Yanbu.

“Hail is a destination that perfectly matches our expectations in terms of opportunities to develop our traffic in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia“. said Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways, speaking at a panel entitled “Tourism Rising: A New Era of Influence and Impact.”

“Hail is attractive because of its tourism, its cuisine, and its major cultural events,” he said.

Flight prices for this new route will start at SAR 791 in economy class.
