Qatar Airways: Expanded Partnership with IAG Group, Several New Routes Launched
Qatar Airways will further strengthen its presence in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas through its expanded partnership with the IAG Group, which includes two European airlines: Aer Lingus and LEVEL.
In a statement, the Qatari national carrier announced that as part of its codeshare agreement with these this group since 2015, they have extended this cooperation to their other international routes across three continents.
Starting next month, the “QR” code will be affixed to 18 Aer Lingus-operated routes from Dublin to destinations such as Boston, Cleveland, Orlando in the United States and to Level’s routes from Barcelona to Los Angeles and Miami in the United States, and to Buenos Aires in Argentina. These flights will soon be available for purchase on the website www.qatarairways.com and at its agencies located inside and outside the Middle Eastern country.
This partnership offers new connecting opportunities for Qatar Airways travelers. Thus, a passenger from Doha will now be able to travel to these destinations with a single QR ticket, thanks to a simplified connection in Dublin.
Qatar Airways also announced that members of its Privilege Club loyalty program will be able to earn Avios points on their flight bookings made under this codeshare agreement.
