Qatar Airways removes ban on boarding without a face mask on board its flights
Qatar Airways has confirmed, via its official Twitter account, that wearing a face mask is no longer a mandatory procedure for passengers boarding its domestic and international flights, and has indicated that wearing a face mask is still mandatory at on board its flights in order to preserve the safety of its passengers and crew members.
Qatar Airways continues to maintain the highest health and safety standards on board its flights and at the airport to protect passengers and flight crew, while reinforcing procedures throughout the flight, from completion of travel procedures upon arrival of passengers at destination.
Hamad International Airport has invested in the latest technology and some additional measures to ensure passenger safety, and these measures are also applied in the Al Maha lounge and services, as well as at the Oryx Airport Hotel.
The national carrier has indicated that wearing a mask is not compulsory in the following cases: Passengers with a mask exemption card or a medical certificate due to a medical condition, and children under 6 years old.
