Qatar Airways introduces Starlink Wi-Fi on board its A350s
Qatar Airways’ A350 aircraft are now equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi. The entire Qatar Airways wide-body fleet now features Starlink connectivity, already deployed on all of the airline’s Boeing 777s, a member of the Oneworld alliance.
Qatar Airways thus becomes the first airline in the world, operating the largest fleet, to offer Starlink (SpaceX) Wi-Fi service, the most advanced product in the industry.
“This allows passengers traveling on our various international routes to stay connected throughout their journey by providing them with access to a very high-speed connection of up to 500 Mbps, enabling them to make video calls, watch streaming content, or even play video games at altitudes of up to 10,000 meters,” said Hamad Ali Al-Khater, CEO of Qatar Airways.
Recalling that the starlink wifi offer is offered free of charge to passengers travelling in its four travel classes: Basic Economy, Premium Economy, Business Class and First Class (Qsuite).
