Qatar Airways airline unveils a new version of its loyalty program, the Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Among the new features, the number of Qmiles needed to book flights has dropped by as much as 49% on some routes, “a major development aimed at delivering more and better rewards to the most loyal travelers.”
How do you book a plane ticket with your QMiles?
It is now very easy to do this operation, because Qatar Airways has added an option on its website, in its flight search engine, in order to be able to take a ticket directly with your Miles.
In fact, you earn Qmiles by purchasing airline tickets on Qatar Airways and member airlines of the OneWorld alliance; you spend them in the same way.
Loyal passengers can now travel twice as far with their Qmiles on the Qatari airline’s medium, long and ultra-long haul flights. Through its Privilege Club program, you can increase your travel options and thank them for their loyalty. This new step is part of the broader transformation of its loyalty program.
The number of Qmiles required to be redeemed for flights will be reduced for all program members traveling with Qatar Airways through Doha-Hamad International Airport, the Qatari flag carrier said in a statement. These benefits will also apply to passengers traveling from or to Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia and Oceania. Privilege Club members who book “flexi” tickets with their Qmiles – which require twice as many Qmiles as normal reward flights – will also benefit from these discounts.
Travelers on Qatar Airways can use the Privilege Club Qcalculator to find out how many Qmiles they will need to book flights on the route and class of travel of their choice.
