Qatar Airways: Sixteen Destinations and More Than Ninety Weekly Flights in Winter
Qatar Airways unveils its expanded offering for the winter season. Passengers of this iconic airline are expanding their choices with the introduction of more than ninety weekly flights throughout the winter, connecting them to sixteen destinations worldwide.
London Heathrow Airport will benefit from the largest number of flights added by Qatar Airways, with two daily scheduled connections from Doha Hamad, increasing from eight to five flights per week.
British Airways completes the offering between the United Kingdom and Qatar.
In addition to Qatar Airways, British Airways will also be present on the London Heathrow – Doha route, maintaining its schedule of two daily flights.
Qatar Airways Sets Sights on Europe
The Qatari carrier also plans to expand its service to several European destinations, such as Berlin, which will benefit from three weekly flights, bringing its total to twenty-one weekly flights from Doha. Here is a list of the additional flights added to European airports this winter:
Dublin (Ireland): from 14 to 17 weekly flights
Frankfurt (Germany): from 18 to 21 weekly flights
Madrid (Spain): from 14 to 17 weekly flights
Manchester (United Kingdom): from 21 to 24 weekly flights
Other International connections enhanced in winter
Qatar Airways’ expanded service will also include its regional and international network. The national airline will add a flight to Adu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport, bringing its total to six daily flights to the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Similarly, QTR will add four daily flights to Sharjah in the UAE, bringing the total to seven flights between the two countries in winter.
In Africa, Morocco, the Maldives, and South Africa will also benefit from this increased service. Qatar Airways previously announced that a weekly flight to Casablanca Mohamed V will be added, bringing the total to five flights per week to the cosmopolitan Moroccan city’s airport.
As for the Maldives, QTR will fly to Male International Airport four times a day instead of the current three.
Qatar Airways will continue expanding its service in South Africa by adding a total of six weekly flights to the country of Nelson Mandela, with two weekly departures to Cape Town and four rotations to Johannesburg.
Phuket (Thailand), Toronto (Canada), Tokyo Narita (Japan) and São Paulo – Guarulhos (Brazil) airports will also have their share of the cake, benefiting from one, two, three and four weekly flights respectively.
