Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways expand codeshare agreement

Qatar Airways and Kenya Airways have expanded their codeshare partnership, allowing their customers to benefit from more connections between Doha, Nairobi, and other destinations.

The new agreement, finalized between the two airlines on October 26 of this year, reflects their commitment to mutually developing their networks and contributing to the tourism promotion of their respective regions.

Expanding the Middle East-Africa gateway

Thanks to this new agreement, each airline has access to all seats on the aircraft and can sell them under its own terms.

Kenya Airways passengers can travel on the Naribo-Doha route and then connect to a dozen destinations in the Middle East and Asia, including Manama, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Tokyo.

Conversely, Qatar Airways passengers can access African destinations served by Kenya Airways, such as Accra in Ghana, Abidjan in Ivory Coast, Zanzibar in Tanzania, and Cape Town in South Africa.

The codeshare agreement will be gradually expanded to cover the majority of destinations served by both airlines, subject to the required regulatory approvals and the completion of necessary internal procedures.
