Qatar Airways partners with Uber for Business
Qatar Airways has just announced a new partnership with Uber for Business. Qatar Airways has just announced a partnership with Uber Business.
The airline’s corporate program, Beyond Business serves as the foundation for this new offering. Companies enrolled in this program accumulate Qrewards with each flight booking made for their teams. Thanks to the agreement with Uber, these points can now be converted into Uber ride vouchers, automatically added to the traveler’s digital wallet.
From an administrative perspective, travel managers at client companies benefit from a single dashboard allowing them to track transportation expenses, verify compliance with internal travel policies, and simplify expense report processing, without having to juggle multiple tools.
A logical extension of the Beyond Business service
Until now, Beyond Business’s competitive advantage was primarily based on the onboard experience and airport services: Starlink Wi-Fi available on over 300 daily flights, Privilege Club status and benefits, and priority baggage handling. With Uber as a partner, the airline now covers a link that was previously outside its ecosystem: the journey between the airport (or hotel) and the business meeting location.
How this concretely benefits passengers
Fewer hassles upon arrival: no need to search for reliable transportation after landing; the journey can be booked and paid for using pre-loaded vouchers.
A more useful reward for everyday use: accumulated Qrewards are no longer solely used to finance a future flight; they can cover concrete and immediate expenses, such as travel to a client meeting.
End-to-end consistency: the traveler benefits from a journey designed as a whole, from flight check-in to arrival at the final destination, rather than a succession of separate services.
