Qatar Airways increases flights to Melbourne
A number of additional flights from Doha to Melbourne in Australia will be added to Qatar Airways’ schedule from next fall season, the Qatari carrier said in its statement.
This decision is part of the strategic agreement signed between the Qatari airline and the Australian government with the aim of strengthening trade links and improving the tourism sector in the two countries.
Qatar Airways group boss Akbar Al Baker said: “Melbourne is our company’s home destination in Australia, and we look forward to welcoming more travelers on our flights to and from Melbourne to several from our destinations, and it will also allow us to improve our flights to Melbourne before our flights start The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is an opportunity for Australian football fans to attend the matches of their favorite teams on the field.
The additional flights added to Melbourne represent an important opportunity for travelers wishing to fly to Canberra, where Qatar Airways will also be present daily from the beginning of October.
In total, the national carrier operates flights to six Australian destinations namely: Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perthe and Melbourne.
