Qatar Airways flies to Canberra from Doha

Qatar Airways served its first Canberra flight on October 1st. After a long absence (more than three years) on the route connecting Doha to the Australian destination, the Qatari carrier has finally resumed and relaunched this flight, which is now operated once a day. This route includes a stopover in Melbourne. The return flight will however leave the capital of the State of Victoria to land directly at Doha-Hamad International.

The resumption of flights to Canberra is part of a partnership agreement signed with the government of the State of Victoria, aimed at strengthening connectivity between Qatar and Australia.

The number of flights offered by Qatar Airways to Australian airports therefore amounts to forty per week. These are frequencies offered to six destinations to the ocean country: Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth.
