Qatar Airways is strengthening its summer flight schedule
Qatar Airways plans to strengthen its connectivity and expand its presence to several international destinations during the peak season. Qatar Airways’ summer schedule includes a significant increase in the number of flights on several routes from Doha, namely:
Amsterdam – Netherlands: 11 flights per week (instead of the current 7 flights)
Damascus – Syria: Increase from 3 to 14 flights per week
Dar Es Salaam / Kilimanjaro – Tanzania: From 3 to 7 flights per week
Entebbe – Uganda: From 7 to 11 flights per week
Larnaca – Cyprus: From 7 to 10 flights per week
London Heathrow – United Kingdom: From 49 to 56 flights per week
Madrid – Spain: From 14 to 17 flights per week
Maputo – Mozambique: From 5 to 7 flights per week
Durban – South Africa: From 5 to 7 weekly flights
Sharjah – United Arab Emirates: From 21 to 35 flights weekly
Tokyo Narita – Japan: From 11 to 14 weekly flights
Tunis – Tunisia: From 10 to 12 weekly flights.
According to Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, “this increase in frequencies is due to the airline’s desire to increase its presence in the destinations it serves, on the one hand, and to meet the strong demand on its routes and guarantee its customers greater flexibility in travel schedules, on the other.”
The new schedule announced by Qatar Airways for the summer season, strengthening its international flights, also includes a significant increase in frequencies on all its regional flights, such as its connections to Damascus and Abha.
