Doha-Hamad Airport: Traffic progression and rising figures during the last quarter
Doha Hamad International Airport (DOH) achieved a remarkable feat, setting a new record for the number of passengers in the third quarter of the current year. With an impressive 12.7 million passengers, this represents a significant increase of 26.8% compared to the corresponding period last year. In addition, the number of travelers in the last two quarters was up 44.5% and 24% compared to the same period in 2022.
In a press release issued by the airport management, it was revealed that the month of June saw 4.31 million visitors, while the months of July and August recorded a staggering 9 .84 million and 4 million passengers, respectively. These figures indicate substantial growth and demonstrate the airport’s popularity as a hub for travelers.
Air traffic also saw a notable increase, with the Doha-Airport serving 67.2 flights, an increase of 24.48% compared to last year.
The airport’s cargo activities also saw positive growth, with operations reaching a remarkable figure of 590.7 tonnes. This represents an increase of 3.37% compared to the same period of 2022.
