Qatar Airways launches Starlink WiFi on board

Qatar Airways elevates its passengers’ experience by integrating Starlink technology to provide high-speed Wi-Fi on board its aircraft. This revolutionary service is currently available on three of its Boeing 777-300 aircraft. The aim is to deploy this technology across the entire fleet within the next two years, promising a significant improvement in in-flight connectivity for all passengers.

Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways, expressed his excitement at the announcement of this exclusive partnership with Starlink (SpaceX), stressing that this marks an important step in improving on-board services. Thanks to this new system, passengers can enjoy an ultra-fast internet connection, with speeds of up to 500 megabits per second, making unprecedented online activities possible at altitude, such as video streaming, online gaming , and remote work.

This initiative is part of a broader approach by Qatar Airways to remain at the forefront of innovation in the airline sector, by offering ever more efficient services adapted to the modern needs of travelers.
